Cobalt Oxide, Co3O4, Cobalt Tetroxide, Cobalt(II III)Oxide, Cobaltic-cobaltous Oxide, Cobaltosic Oxide, CAS 1308-06-1, EINECS 215-157-2

Product name: Tricobalt tetraoxide,Cobalt oxide,Cobalt trioxide
Chemical formula: Co3O4.
Molecular weight: 240.797.
CAS number: 1308-06-1.
EINECS number: 215-157-2.
Purity: 99.9%.
Particle size: 1um, 50nm (can be customized produced according to customer requirements).
Appearance: Black or grayish black powder.
Characteristics: High purity, small particle size, uniform distribution, large specific surface area, high surface activity, low bulk density, easy dispersion, and easy reduction to cobalt by carbon, carbon monoxide, or hydrogen. Exposed to the air, it is easy to absorb moisture but does not form hydrates. Easy to dissolve in nitric acid. When heated above 1200 ℃, it will decompose into cobalt oxide. When heated to 900 ℃ in a hydrogen flame, it is reduced to metallic cobalt.
Application:
1.Used as a positive electrode material for cobalt lithium batteries, chemical catalyst, and also as a glass, enamel, ceramic, magnetic material, adhesive, sky blue, cobalt blue, cobalt green, coloring agent, and trace element nutrient for livestock.
2.Used as paint additives, petroleum catalysts, electrical and chemical oxidants, alloy materials, semiconductor industry, electronic ceramics, temperature and gas sensors, manufacturing hard alloys, varistors, thermistors, zinc oxide lightning arresters, cathode ray tube glass shells, lithium-ion batteries, paint pigments, ceramic glazes, cobalt catalysts, solid-state sensors, electrochromic devices, solar absorbing materials, pigments, etc.
